People Manager
We're looking for a People Manager who'll be leading our technology consulting teams, collaborate with Itera Czechia management team, and be involved in pre-sales activities to help us grow!

We are looking for an optimistic, charismatic and passionate, experienced Manager/Leader who is ready to drive several smaller teams, or a bigger team or participate in pre-sale activities when needed.
You will be working for Scandinavian customers and have team members mostly in Czech Republic, but also in Kyiv, Bratislava, Krakow, Oslo, Reykjavik, Copenhagen, Stockholm, or another Itera office.
You must be comfortable working with stakeholders and team members who might be accessible only by teleconference. It is also important to be able to lead and collaborate with people who are not formally reporting to you.
A part of the workload is management of internal Technology Consulting department. The role includes being a direct manager of consultants involved in different assignments.
Ideal candidate should be able to enter situation where different stakeholders have quite different needs and expectations, unclear budget, fuzzy scope, and ad hoc processes – and quickly take under control plans, communication streams, budget, KPIs and establish positive team spirit. Short-term business trips to Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, Slovakia or Poland should be expected.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Preparation of project documentations, analysis of the requirements, writing proposals and business offers to clients
- Estimating project, schedule planning, risks management, regular follow up of plans
- Planning, coordination, and risk management
- Establishing necessary practices from Agile (Scrum, Lean, Kanban) or PMI, ITIL, Prince2 frameworks – whatever fits project the best
- Establishing proper Quality Assurance approach
- Managing changes and customer expectations – both formal and informal
- Customer relationship management, organizing visits of team to customer and vice versa
- Being hiring manager for technical positions for the department
- Work with motivation, attrition, compensation reviews, budgeting, competence development of people from your department
- You’ll need to be a leader for your team, not only manager
Professional requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in IT project management or project coordination
- Deep understand and experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience of managing distributed, cross-location teams
- Experience with internal organization HR related processes: hiring, exits, compensations
- Experience managing teams of 6-10 or more people
- Experience managing 2 or more projects at the same time
- Practical experience doing requirements analysis, writing proposals and specifications
- Technical – software development background is a big plus
- Excellent written and spoken English

- Ability to travel abroad for 1-2 weeks (typically during a project start-up)
- Ability to work productively without supervision and in constantly changing environment
