# Embedded Software / FPGA Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software / FPGA Consultant to join a development team working on advanced sensor-based monitoring solutions for demanding industrial environments.   
The assignment focuses on continued development, optimization and stabilization of a high-performance embedded platform based on FPGA architecture. The system is used for real-time data processing and supports critical industrial monitoring applications where robustness, reliability and performance are essential.   
You will work closely with embedded software and hardware specialists, contributing to both FPGA-level implementation and system-level optimization. The role requires strong understanding of hardware/software interaction, real-time constraints and digital signal processing.

**Tasks and responsibilities:**

- Contribute to the design, implementation and optimization of FPGA-based embedded systems

- Implement and maintain soft processor solutions on FPGA platforms

- Develop signal processing routines for different measurement applications

- Optimize real-time data processing performance

- Improve system reliability, scalability and stability

- Support debugging and troubleshooting across hardware and software layers

- Work with system-level performance analysis and optimization

- Collaborate with other engineers on architecture, implementation and validation activities

- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

**Professional requirements:**

- Strong experience with embedded software development in complex real-time systems

- Solid experience with FPGA design and architecture

- Experience with soft-core processors such as MicroBlaze or similar

- Good understanding of hardware/software interaction in embedded platforms

- Experience with digital signal processing

- Experience with high-speed digital system design and performance optimization

- Experience with system-level debugging and optimization in data-intensive environments

- Ability to work independently with complex technical challenges

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

**It would be a plus if you have:**

- Experience with AMD/Xilinx Spartan-7

- Experience with Microchip Igloo Nano

- Experience with low-power FPGA or embedded system design

- Experience from industrial monitoring, energy, sensor-based systems or measurement applications

- Experience with robust systems used in demanding production environments

**Education & Language:**

- Relevant higher education within electronics, embedded systems, computer engineering or similar

- English: at least B2, both verbal and written
